Vols Have Offered 9 In-State Prospects

I can't remember the last time the Vols offered so many in-state prospects. Football talent in Tennessee is improving dramatically.

There will likely not be room for Bruno Regan and Matthew Pike unless we have a couple of schollys open on signing day.

Is the talent actually improving, or is 2013 just an anomaly?

No, the in-state talent is improving because of the growth in the state, particularly in middle Tennessee. Davison County(Nashville, Rutherford County (Murfreesboro), Williamson County(Brentwood/Franklin), Wilson County (Mt, Juliet/WilsonEast), and Sumner County (Hendersonville/Gallatin) are growing like a wildfire. Add in the fact that man of the Titans kids are growing up in Tennessee. As Doug Matthews said in January, Tennessee will be producing about 10-14 SEC caliber players every year and that number will continue to grow as the population grows.

There is a kid whop plays WR at Pearl-Cohn in Nashville who we have offered. He is going to be a stud. Sop who is his favorite team? I'll give you three guesses and if Nick Saban is not the coach there, you are wrong.
