and they do not have our technology. The only thing that they have on us is that they have the stomach to use their resources to the fullest and try to win.

Our media and politicians will not all us to win ever again because in doing so , we can obliterate anyone we go up against.

You guys want to win a war so badly that you don't face facts. What would the US gain in a war with N Korea and China except bragging rights? Balance that with what the US "could" lose in such a conflict. It would be Viet Nam all over again, win all the battles and lose the war. Plus if the US did as you suggest and nuked them till they glow it would create an army of far eastern terrorist larger and more filled with hate than the Muslim one we face today. We have some Democratic nations friends there. Japan, Taiwan, South Korea. Then we have other nations such as India whom we need to keep working on.

Sorry Galla, you couldn't be more wrong. This would not be Vietnam all over again and it would not be like the middle eastern conflicts, which were, of course, badly mismanaged. South Korea has a powerful military themselves. That is the big difference and the major reason why any conflict would not be in any way similar to what you suggest. The South can handle themselves nicely, thank you.

I think Galla has some valid points, but I think he is putting too much stock in the intelligence of the Obama administration. China might not have all of the technology of the US military, but boots on the ground is the only way to win a war. China has more boots in their army than any other nation.

We had them beat the last time. I was talking to dad a few days ago and he said when they - dad was a Marine- landed at Inchon they had the them surrounded. Then the damn Chinese got involved. Dad said when they came down out of China at them many of their soldiers did not even have weapons -they had sticks. But that is their mentality, fight until every last one is dead. The same reason we had to drop the two atomic bombs in WW2.

To fight N Korea is to fight China. Unless our military commanders have "fool proof" plan to defeat both nations without meaningful help from Japan (military gone in one day) S Korea (totally untested in an actual war) Taiwan (teeny military) or India (really India, they will be too busy fighting Pakistan when this WW III breaks out) then we would be fools not to hold our powder until diplomats can work the thing out with China. That is who is behind all of this, KJ Un does nothing that the Chinese don't approve first.

Also, don't think that Iran will sit by idly while the US fights the 2nd and third largest armies in the world. They would send as many terrorist as they could muster straight away to attack Israel. Is the world really ready for World War III?

Take the handcuffs off of Israel and stop cowering our shoes.

I had a friend who was in the Marines in Nam. He said that the South Koreans were the toughest fighting force on our side. He said a platoon of them would go out and come back with 50 sets of ears and not a scratch on any of the ROKs, that's what the Americans called them.

You guys please remember the outrage felt in this country after 9/11. Now, do you remember how quickly it subsided? If war was to break out with North Korea, after a year the media would start bitching about bringing our boys home. You can't outscheme the media in this country. The liberal press will start showing bombs killing innocent civilians, report on our soldiers torturing POWs, and on and on. We saw it in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
