Took some questions that were on the bass boy blog today. I thought that they were interesting.

What do you think? What are your opinions?

What would UT F-Ball be like if Majors was hired instead of Battle?

What if WWII never happened, how many more National Championships would General Neyland won? Andhow would that affect Tennessee football today?

What would UT look like had Kiffin had stayed at UT?

How close did UT get to signing Gruden?

What if UT signed Bruce Pearl instead of Buzz Peterson?

2005…What was going on in UT’s locker room…..What were internal issues?

Was Coach Sal forced on Dooley by the Athletic Director over Kevin Steel?

What would UT football look like today if we had hiredBrian Kelly instead of L. Kiffin?

What would have happened if UT had stuck it out with Coach Fulmer? Would he have experienced a rebirth, or been willing to?

no idea. probably would not have sunk so low, but maybe not. Battle wasnt a bad coach when he had players, he just didnt recruit.

beats me

They'd have had a 4th straight top 5/10 recruiting class, and likely be ranked in the top 10 pre season next year. We'd also probably have gotten that letter from the NCAA right about now.

Very close. That deal blew up at the last minute.

Not sure on that one. Pearl did pretty well with Buzz recruits, but didnt leave much for Cuonzo with his own recruiting.

I'm more curious what Peal would have done had we hired him instead of Jerry Green.

A whole lot better than it is now, top 20 pre season or so probably. But I have no idea how well (or how poorly) Kelly would have recruited to UT.

What would have happened if UT had stuck it out with Coach Fulmer? Would he have experienced a rebirth, or been willing to?

Not sure on that one, and alot depends. If we'd kept Fulmer but forced him to hire (and leave alone) a quality OC, a quality bagman, and some quality position coaches (WR and OL in particular, the defensive coaches were fine)? We'd be pretty good. Fulmer's assistant coach decisions were his downfall, and pretty much the main reason he had to go.

If Boy Kiffin had stayed it would have been a nuclear meltdown and would look like what Southern Cal is looking like right now. Rode to Nashville today with a circuit judge who is friends with the Knox County sheriff. The Sheriff told him that it was everything they could do to keep Boy Kiffin out of the jailhouse. Drunk driving stops, wrecked luxury cars, multiple, various and sundrae women in compromising situations. Frankly, that's all I needed to hear.

If he was chasing "nookie" with what he had at home, he didn't have enough sense to be a coach and a coach is not a brain surgeon to me. Oh well, what's that ole saying about "pussy and whiskey have ruined a lot of men"? Bet he's still doing the same thing in "tinsel town", huh?
