Aug. 31: AUSTIN PEAY Sept. 7: WESTERN KENTUCKY Sept. 14: at Oregon Sept. 21: at Florida Sept. 28: SOUTH ALABAMA Oct. 5: GEORGIA Oct. 19: SOUTH CAROLINA Oct. 26: at Alabama Nov. 2: at Missouri Nov. 9: AUBURN Nov. 23: VANDERBILT Nov. 30: at Kentucky The key to the 2013 season may very well be the Oregon game.....whether we buy it out....or if we play it. The Oregon game is the start of the rigorous portion of our season. A loss there would make the month of October seem longer than it actually would be. It would nice to head into October with four wins instead of three wins. It could give this team the confidence to beat one of our October opponents and turn the 2013 season into a spceial season. Thoughts? |

I sort of hate that we have to play that game. We go to Oklahoma next year. Back when the SEC had one dominant team that was a great idea. Now that there are 6 with maybe Ole Miss about to be another, you play plenty enough good teams. We're locked in with Alabama, that's enough for a whole seasons worth of opponents anymore. If we do go to Oregon,I will be there and it will be my first game since 2002. So from a personal standpoint I hope we play it. |

Specialists PK 93 Rob Beard, 6-0, 218, Sr. 41 Alejandro Maldonado, 5-10, 190 Looks like they lost three senior offensive linemen and of course, Barner, an elusive and talented runningback. A defensive tackle, an end and two linebackers and both kicking specialists. If it turns into a track meet, Tennessee will lose, but if Vol defense could somehow force two or three turnovers, then the Big Orange might have a shot. Ducks certainly could be overconfident for this game. They open with Nicholls State at home and then come across country to play at Virginia the week before they entertain the Vols. Personally, I don't believe that Oregon will stop us on offense. On the other side, we will not stop their offense. We need an easier route to build momentum. |

I have no earthly idea what we are going to do/be on offense next year. Ask me again after the orange and white game this year, which may actually be the first one of those I've gone to in a decade if for no other reason than morbid curiosity about the O. |

Wow. Here's a clue. Tennessee will field a big, strong, experienced, veteran offensive line that will average about 6-4, 325 from tackle to tackle. Frankly, I will not be surprised if all five of the starters end up playing in the NFL at some point. With Jackson taking over at left guard and because he will probably be a better pure drive blocker than Dallas Thomas, the backs can run behind either side of the offensive line. So, it's rather elementary Watson, they are going to run the daygum ball. |
