I went through offer lists and other "accolades" to see which of our signees could be forecast as SEC-caliber talent - guys who have strong potential to be effective and starting in the SEC.

I annotated our signing class at the top.

  • Austin Sanders doesn't have an offer list due to his early commitment. But, he's an All American (Semper Fi bowl).
  • The film on Jabo Lee looks like he could become an SEC back, but his academics and injuries caused most programs to shy away from him. Lots of questions, so I did not annoint him as SEC-caliber.
  • Similarly, Josh Smith has some great film, but schools weren't interested in him.
  • And, though Dobbs is a four star by three of the services, his offer list is low-end SEC schools ... which tells me that there is some question about his future.

So what are your thoughts? Who are the SEC-caliber players we brought in this year?
