These are offense stats in the second half in 5 SEC games when the game is on the line and we have a chance to tie or win.....I don't care if the defense is giving up points our offense when in position to get it done FAILS...I don't care if it's 70-70....7-7....or like against USC and it's 38-35. Offense doesn't get it done when it's nut cutten time! Copied from TOS: Tennessee has had 14 Opportunities to tie or take the lead. They have failed to score in all 14. Not just do what it takes to tie or take the lead... score at all. They have run the ball a total of 19 times during those drives. They have passed the ball 37 times during those drive. Those plays have gone for 12 first downs. They have resulted in 6 turnovers. Six of the drives resulted in 3 & Outs'. Only two drives went for more than 1 first down. The longest drive was 3:38 (final drive against USCe) Average time of each drive was 1:47 |

I knew it was bad. Didn't realize it was 14 opportunity bad. I know at least 2 of the possessions were less than 30 sec. (3 incomplete passes). |

However we have been playing from behind in all those games, ALL OF THEM. After we get gashed the offensive game plan goes out the window. I give the offense 15% of the blame, what we get into is desperation mode and we have not handled it well. |

I would venture to say that we committed a high incidents of turnovers in those series because we were playing from behind. |

To much excuse here....When the ball is in your hands and the games are on the line...you go score..Thats what winners do...WE FAIL as proved by these stats. Winners do not make excuses.... |

Wow Ag you do win some sort of prize.. An offense with NFL talent - offensive line, QB, WR's - repeat offensive line (some around here are touting as the "best" in the SEC next year.. Potential 1st round talent at QB and WR - depth across the board.. Now vs USC - possibly the #1 NFL pick in 2014 - made one play vs a great OL - one play and Bray fumbled.. When the best beats one of the best - just tip the hat, great play and move on.. |
