AV, there is no delimma, except in your mind. You have been proven wrong on the talent issue time and again.
Proven wrong on the talent issue? While the talent has improved, using the > # - all this talent has set a record. All the made up excuses about youth, inexperience, depth, etc don't apply - as each and every other program in the SEC go that route - even the newest additions - one has 3 wins in conference play - the other just got their first win.

With all the tremendous improvement in the area of recruiting - Dooley has somehow joined Vanderbilt - the other team in the SEC as schools starting 3 seasons in a row 0-5 in conference play. Tennessee teams with lesser talent, and possibly have never done such a thing, the operative word, never.

None the less Steele made the point "talent" on a comparative basis. The only one that should be in the mix would be Florida - as Muschamp has basically had to deal with a destroyed program - and change both how the offense and defense should be run - using his view - understanding this is a guy who had never held a HCing job anywhere, anytime in his career - never once again being the operative work and has been on the continual hot seat since his arrival in Gainseville.

Until you answer specific questions like I laid out above then you are just a parrot repeating yourself over and over and over again. I listed some very specific things about how YOU had tied yourself in a dilemma knot with your recent post, yet you failed to reply except with nonsense.

You say we don't have talent but then you come back and say we do have talent.

You say we should give Drool's more time and defend his every action then you diss coaching decisions by his hired assistants. Can you explain to me why he should have ever been hired? Can you explain to me why 7 of his 9 assistants left him for lateral jobs last year? Can you explain to me why he hired an OLB coach at bammer to be his DC instead of a proven DC? Can you explain the Keystone Kop play by UT just like we saw with Phildo? Can you explain why you still insist we keep loser Dooley for more years after this year? Can you explain how we are going to get better than 0-5 SEC records for 3 straight years with the type recruiting Dooley is doing?

So many questions for Tux- so few answers.

AV, you lost this debate in the other thread and you try to rehash this in this thread. The Vols have much more talent today that they did when Dooley took over. It is just as not as deep or as good on the defensive side of the ball as Florida, Alabama, and Georgia have. On the other side of the ball, we have much more talent on offense than any other team in the SEC.

Alabama has as balanced offense as anyone in the nation - their offensive line is a work of art to watch filled with NFL caliber talent, 2 deep. RB's two certain NFLers - possibly 3 - QB is a certain NFLer - WR's are pretty danged good.

A&M - All SEC - offensive player of the year at QB - NFL talent at RB, Michael will get his shot, Malena is a year away T. Williams, the same and then they get B. Williams next year. (and they get B. Williams next year. OL - *if* the JR's come out after this year - one has been mentioned as the 1st tackle to be taken this year - the other somewhere in the top 10. Don't ask their coach - ask a NFL scout who does things like this for a living.
WR's Evans at 6'5" is headed off to the NFL - and he is only a RSF. His counterpart came back for his SR season - and their was talk of him being a 1st day pick - last year. While the talent may not be at the level of Tennessee - its doing it on the field - and that says alot about the coaching of Sumlin and Kingsbury.

Florida - as talented an offensive line as Tennessee - better QB who will get better, RB their Sr will be aNFLer - and more talented otherwise than anything Tennessee has at the position - TE's goodness would it be nice *if* Tennessee had that sort of talent at the position.

Has anyone heard if our commitment from the guy who had been demoted to second team is back in the starting lineup? I just can't follow recruiting no matter how hard a try but sometimes there are certain aspects of it that are interesting.
