Jon Gruden will be on the air Monday night.

UT fans will be looking for a signal.....will it be an orange tie that sends the fans into a message board frenzy? Will it be a mention of Tennessee? A tie pin?

Could it be a Margie Ison wink into the canera for UT fans? :stir:

Dooley is in the middle of his MOnday noon press confernce and nobody has stepped to the podium and told him or us that he has been fired.

So much for all of the "insiders" who said that they had it on good authority that Dooley would be fired Sunday or Monday at noon at the latest and then replaced by Jon Gruden.

Funny that some of the "insiders" at VN are saying that it is likely that Gruden goes to the NFL now. Duh.

Guessing here Gruden has a contract, in place, with ESPN. The same for Dooley.
Interesting the rumors that Gruden has talked with KiffinKlan - maybe EdO is potentially the next DC at Tennessee?

There are no good compelling reasons to axe Dooley at this moment..

*If* there is some dickering going on between the Gruden people and boosters - leaving the Tennessee AD sitting on the sidelines - one has to wonder WTF.

Ogre at DC would definitely be an improvement.

Of course, *I* would be an improvement too...so that aint exactly setting the bar very high...

Some of these people are really sad that they live their lives hanging onto a word said here or there in passing.

Agreed.

It's supposed to be fun, but some just get downright crazy over it.

Since Chris Berman is wearing an orange tie, does that mean HE will be our next coach?

wink - wink......

I think it is fun. Fans are very excited and that's good. Better days are ahead with a new coach and the fans are anxious for the season to be over.

I'm not anxious for the season to get over.

This team has an opportunity to win out, go to a bowl game, and win more game than any UT team in the past 5 years. Heck, I'm excited for what the rest of the season holds for my alma mater's football team.
