Three things: Poor recruiting. Poor development. Poor scheming by defensive staff.

This. Wilcox had less talent last year and we had a top 25 defense. The front line seems OK, but the linebackers and DBs are a carousel of errors.

Wilcox never had anything remotely close to the talent we have on the line this year. ALL he had was what's his name from USC, who was a good player but out of position his whole time here. Other than that was just...nothing.

Neither of them are as bad as Chavis.

I don't know what LSU was thinking when they hired him.
