Hindsight is always 20/20

1) Kimbrow is a far better runt than Devrin Young who has No Speed and Q. Watson who grew up in the shadow of UGA who literally didn't even talk to him. Stop the exaggeration! UF did fairly well with speedster runts like Rainey and Demps who are both on NFL squads right now. I won't say Kimbrow is in their class yet BUT I know damn well that Young and Watson are not! Geez Louise!

2) Jovan Robinson is better than any TB UT signed last year. UT didn't even try. Did UT turn in AU for cheating?

3) Redmond and Dawson were not recruited aggresively by Dool's and are almost certainly better than Orta and Gray. You need 4-5 DB's in every class kind of like you need 3-4 OL in every class. I could tell you more details about Redmonds recruiting by Dooley but I gotta get back to work. But Dool's didn't do a good job with him at all.
1) Not going to deny that Kimbrow is better than Young and Watson. I didn't want Watson, but his scholarship is likely a favor to Dooley's home school. My point was that you seem to always hate on the small backs ...

2) Tennessee was recruiting Robinson hard, but then suddenly stopped. Speculation at the time was that it was due to grades ...

3) We have 5 DBs in our 2012 class (McNeil, Orta, Thomas, Gray, and Bonner), and yes I would have liked to have Dawson and Redmond sign with UT. I agree that Dawson was not recruited aggressively, and I think that had to do with his camp performance. I don't know what happened with Redmond ... he said "trustworthiness" was his biggest issue, so I'm assuming that he felt that Dooley or someone on Dooley's staff were not being honest with him.
I will go into more detail on Redmond. He came to the UT Camp with some groin injury and told the staff who initially told him to take it easy and not injure himself more.

Later on another staff member came up to him and DEMANDED he run some sprints so they could time him. He didn't stand out in those runs. UT then almost immediately started ramping down their recruiting of him.

But when healthy later in the year he was blazing fast and in the Kimbrow territory of speed but bigger by #20-25.

This is what Redmond was referring to with the "honesty" issue. Once UT sort of backed off last summer they never could get back in the door later in the fall because of the wish washy way he was treated at our Camp. And you know what, it probably was the Right Hand not Talking to the Left hand with the assistant coaches where one of them said one thing and another said another thing. But this kind of sloppiness happens with Drool's all the time and doesn't happen with Saban- or he fixes it for good personally.

Forget it Mickie,
AV is a 10-12 year veteran at dissing football coaches at Tennessee. He has been working over Dooley for exactly two years and nine months now and it's like that scene in the movie with Sandra Bullock when she was driving the bus that had a bomb on it and if they got below a certain speed the bomb would detonate. Ole Dennis Hopper was watching on video and so they had to loop the picture over and over again to make him think the people were still on the bus so he couldn't remotely detonate. AV loops, over and over, again and again, it's really tedious and boring after awhile.

AV...would you put $5,000.00 tonight that Dooley will NOT be back next year? I've asked several posters this same question that have for certain said Dooley will not be back next year and nobody so far has bit on the bet.

How bout you?

No for several reasons:

#1) I don't bet on anything. Have been to Tahoe 20 years ago and only time I have ever wasted money betting. So I guess I am a puss when it comes to betting big bucks.

#2) Dool's still has a slim chance of staying- by beating USCe and all the rest of the games including Candy on the road. LWSVOL and Volvulus are both quite connected and both say exactly the same thing but from different sources. Volvulus stated back in the winter that Hart had given Dooley the 8-4 mark as what he needed to do in order to stay. LWSVOL is saying Dool's was told he needed to win 5 out of 6 before the Bammer game. That is saying the exact same thing and it is still possible.

#3) Finally I have seen UT puss out after 2002 and after 2005 with Fulmer. I have seen them go cheap for a HC in paying Kiffin and Dooley both at around 1.8 Million. As far as I can think, UT has hired exactly ONE national hotshot name HC in its entire history and that was Johnny Majors. And of course he was a Legacy. So the UTAD does NOT have a track record of doing what is best for the program. It is crystal clear to me that they should fire Dooley. But the same thought was there about Phildo for years before it happened.

Long a supporter of Dooley and giving him time, but this is running out of control. Phil, I dont think they fire him on Monday....but he will not make it past this season. And to the angel that states the money is not in the AD, you are correct. But that is not where it will be coming from.

I wouldnt make that bet either way, mostly because UT's AD is still largely disfunctional...and combining that with the financial issues in firing Dooley nothing is certain. But if I had to choose one way or the other, I'd certainly put the money on him leaving rather than him staying.

Wonder where he'd be on intrade right now. Actually that's a good idea. We should start a college football intrade.

I thought it was an interesting post by Stud over on TOS. He has some good connections and he's right most of the time.
If Hart really likes Dooley, then he will make an announcement that he is going to be our coach next year. Hart is doing no one any favors by letting the speculation run rampant.

VD I think Dooley is gone after this year (wouldnt bet on it however)..but IMO he will coach out the season and should.

DeerPark on TOS says the decision was made after the Miss St game and some say DeerPark knows what he's saying...if true they must have someone in mind or you don' make that decision.
