Is Dool's Leaving us Better Off????

If Dooley is to be fired, it would make better sense to do it at the end of the season. Unless you already have his replacement hired, it makes sense to keep him until then. If Hart fired him mid-season, rest assured the team would pack it in. It doesn't matter when or if, there's still some games left and I plan on enjoying the rest of the season.

Hart is doing what is best for the program this season for now.

This team can run the table and go t a bowl game and actually finish the season with 8 wins, something not done in about 5 years. He knows that a bowl game would bring in revenue and the UTAD can always use revenue. He also knows that a string finish sets the Vols up for a higher ranking next season and will help us to land some better recruits.

Some food for thought.......

Nick Saban was 25-22-1 after four — YES - FOUR!!! — seasons at Michigan State. I bet those that called for him to be fired are kicking themselves right now.

......and the Big Ten was nowhere near as close as strong then as the SEC is.
Is there something wrong with a winning record? - MSU had come off 4 or 5 years of losing records and Saban turn things around (and the program had issues with the NCAA too)

Something wrong with going on the road and beating Ohio State - an Ohio state team ranked #1 at that time?

Beating the best within the conference?

1995-1999 Not near as good as the SEC.. H'mmmmm that would be Florida and Fulmer.. And that damned old Michigan team - remember that game TuxAg?

Northwestern and GW at the controls - solid top 25 program - Ohio State, Purdue, PSU, The same..
