I am fine with this. We will surprise a lot of people this season.

we won't lose all those pre conference gates this year and by the end of the year will be an easy top 25 pick. I admire Martin for sticking to his guns during that bad streak...forcing his players to conform to his standards instead of changing his game to make it easier for them.

JV, you have just pointed out two important things...

#1 - the players have bought in to Martin's vision of the program.

#2 - there is a method to his madness. he is not just rolling out balls on th court to NBA ready players like Calipari. He has an approach to every facet of the game and has a purpose for each approach. That is called "teaching".

Lonzo posted a great article from the KNS about what Martin is doing to encourage improvement and motivation among his players

In hindsight, the Martin hire is looking like the best possible hire to replace Bruce and to reinforce the foundation of the basketball program. Martin is setting it on a solid foundation and is looking to build a great program long-term.

Kentucky ranked #3 ... didn't their entire starting lineup go to the NBA or something like that?

Pretty close....and they have a freshman class coming in as good as the previous one.

They'll be loaded again.

I seriously doubt that they'll win another title....but they'll be plenty good......

The SEC will have 3-4 teams that could really go far into the tourney....UK, Florida, Mizzou, and the Vols.
