This team is almost empty of true SEC talent due to Dooley's recruiting. They have a 54 y/o first time DC in Sunsiri. They have Tard Cut as OC. And they have a HC who couldn't motivate a 20 y/o FB player to get it on with a nekkid Jennifer Lopez sitting in front of him.

There just is no hope for UT FB as long as this is the best UT can afford to hire and the other SEC teams are hiring stone cold recruiters as HC's.

Play like we did tonight and we win 2..maybe 3 SEC games.

Maybe we were in hang over mode tonight...but gosh awful!

If you guys go look at other teams, they often overlook and play poorly against some mid-major teams, either after a big loss or before a big game. The kids are not going to go out and play lights out every game.

Several times tonight, we were a black away or a catch away from several scoring plays. We just did not click, especially in the red zone.

I am more disappointed in our defense. They gave up a long TD on the very same play that the Gators went 80 yards on us with last week. AJ got sucked in again and could not free himself up from the lineman and Waggner got blown away in a foot race.

In case some did not know, Waggner played safety several plays tonight.

We do not have speed on the back seven of our defense. We have one fast LB, Maggitt, 0 fast DBs without Randolph.Bohanon is our only pass rusher on the whole team. We've got a bunch of recruiting to do if we are ever going to play with the top teams in the SEC again.

I would not be too upset after tonight.

In looking back, we handed them an easy 10 points on the pick six and the field goal after Neal's fumble. We dropped 3 sure TD passes in the first half and left 12 points on the field. We dropped another sure TD pass in a drive where we came up with dust. That is 19 points that we left on the table. Add 19 points to what we scored and deduct 10 points from a cleanly played game we would won pretty handily in the range of 66-16.

The best SEC teams often plays like crap in these kind of games. I still think we are a better team and I think we will play good at Athens and be in it until the end.

I can't remember, but did we score points (like settling for a FG or maybe scoring a TD on the next play) after the 3 dropped TD passes? If so, you can't add those points to the points we scored instead. We also capitalized on some Zip mistakes, did we not? I know what you're saying, we all tend to think like that, but I always hear people on radio shows say things like "you know, we dropped that pass for a TD right before we had to kick a FG, so that's 7 more points we should have had right there" when in reality it's 4 more points.

EDIT: I see that you did figure in the points less whatever we scored, assuming they were FGs instead of TDs. My mistake.

I think everyone assumed a letdown. I did not expect a letdown that took 3 quarters to overcome. But it's a win and it's in the rearview mirror, which is much better than a devastating loss in the rearview mirror.
