You know that I am giving you a hard time. Impressed by the run game tonight? I know it was only Akron. But still, the guys stayed on their blocks much better. I noticed that we made some formation adjustments that resulted in us running more effectively. I am not a game tape watcher, but I am wondering if our run game issues might be attributed to some formation issues, involving our tight ends. Downs got abused on the 4th and two call tonight. His man blew him up and the play up. If Downs could have kept his legs moving and tied him up, Lane might have picked up a huge gainer or even a TD. There was nobody but a safety back there. |

We did show improvement in the running scheme Tux. Hard to tell against that D tonight. Need to get the ball in the hands of some of our speed guys next week. Don't believe we will be able to run right at Georgia. We need to go about 14 different ways early in the game and get Ga guessing a little. |

I felt that the staff went into this game as if it were a controlled scrimmage. We got sloppy and predictable early on as a result. We were close to hitting some home runs on offense. One man missed a block or dropped a pass, or threw a poor pass. |

Bray channelled the "ole ball coach" tonight and drew up a play in the dirt(grass) that resulted in the Brendan Downs TD pass.

Neal on a LB is a big mismatch. Our TE play will improve with Downs back. He has to do a better job of blocking. he got abused by the Akron DE tonight. |

Rucker tweet is not what I heard. I believe that Dooley said that the play was supposed to be to the right, but Bray called it to the left. I assume we were in a two TE set. |

Correct...Dooley said it went to the wrong side. Also said AJ went to the wrong side on the 4th down try too. |
