A very positive and good press conference from Dooley. Where have I heard much of what he said in the past 36-48 hours? Dooley knows that this was one game and that there is a lot of football left to play. He is not allowing his team to be destroyed by one game, as some fans and the media have allowed themselves to be. The players were emotionally invested in this game and it took a lot of them. He has to get them back on their feet, as a good coach is supposed to do. Dooley said that the loss provided some coachable situations and mistakes that can be corrected. Where did I hear that Saturday night? We are vastly improved this season and we are going to get even better. |

Important point that many of the things that happened can be corrected. But two things, in my opinion, are not necessarily correctable. (1) Kicking game (2) Speed in the defensive backfield, unless some of the freshmen (Bonner, McNeal, Orta, Thomas and Gray) lean the defense sufficiently to contribute. |

And there in lies the dilemmas. Personally, I would call Palardy into the office and tell him he is the kicker for the rest of the year now go out there and get it right. The team is already having trouble getting lined up right on defense at times and replacing veterans with raw rookies is a recipe for disaster. |

Playing Teague @ corner is already a recipe for disaster, as we have seen repeatedly over multiple seasons. I hate to say it because he's a great kid: but there is absolutely no way in hell I'd ever put that kid at CB in a game again. He's just not any good @ CB. Move him to safety maybe, he's just too damned slow to play CB in this league. It would be okay if he were at least a physical corner, but he's not that either. Play Bonner or Coleman |
