I see Positive Growth

While many fans choose to be fair weather fans and be overly negative, I saw some positives.

Ourinterior defensive line play is vastly improved. It was actually damn good. We played aggresively up front. We just need some bigger linebackers on the outside.

On Florida's big plays, they blew our jack linebacker up and caught AJ out of position a few times and our sw ondary took bad angles. Much of that can be corrected.

This was one game. It was noever One game season or deal. Some will give up on the season. I will not. We are a much better team from a year ago. It is going to be a fun season, but it is going to have its share of frustration. Our defense is going to get beat as we learn this new defense.

I don't buy the excuse that we have to learn this new defense, Florida has a new defensive coordinator and they missed few assignments. Missed assignments fall on the coaching staff. The problem is a lack of speed and athleticism on defense and the inability to run block on offense. A few more signing classes will take care of a lot of our problems. Bray is overrated..........and lacks leadership qualities and mental toughness.

FLA was a far superior team athletically to the Vols tonight. They had a much better O-Line and D-Line and they beat us to the perimeter almost every time. We have better WRs than them but in every other area of comparison they are better. We have a very long way to go to get on their level and since they will again have another top 5 recruiting class and we will have another #17 or so I don't see us making up that ground any time soon.

Positive growth or not Tux, there was alot riding on this game. This is a tough loss for a whole lot of reasons (national spotlight, HUGE recruiting weekend, etc).

This will be tough for Dooley to overcome. His margin of error this season just got razor thin.

Too many people put everything they had in one game. They have quit. I gave no respect for them. We still have a long way to go this season and a lot to play for.

One difference between the 2011 and 2012 games with Florida: we have the talent to win this game. We didn't tonight for a variety of reasons, but we can win games like this. In other words, we are competitive again.

I saw us get curb-stomped in the second half at home. They out-gained us 305 to 50 in the last 20 minutes. But hey Tux all is well!!!

I see one of the worst offense schemes I have ever seen with the talent we have on offense. IF......if Randy Sanders had called this piss poor of a game 99% on here would be going bat-sheet crazy!!! Unreal how the excuses never...never stop.

I saw a team that did not make the plays that they needed to make in order to win. That includes defense and offense.

Our defense was burned by big plays. Those can be corrected. It was encouraging that Florida did not grind ut out with several long drawn out drives.

This team lost one game tonight because they did not make the plays when challenged to do so.

I am not ready to quit on this team as so many other so called "UT fans" have done. This season is not a three game season nor was everything defined by one game. I will leave the quitting to the quitters.

Tux...the ole Lib response....Attack the person and not the issues.

Now...Please tell me how our can't be stopped passing offense got beat at home. And HOW we got out-gained 300 plus yards to 50 in the last 20 minutes.

Keep coming at me Tux....I got all night and I've been retired for 3 years....I can keep it coming as long as you wish.

Excuses are for losers!!! Sooner or later the excuses have to stop and you need to beat somebody!!

Call me quitter all you want if it makes you feel better and all I'll do is LMAO and call you an excuse maker...

It'll be tough for Dooley to overcome but at least we got through the game with no injuries that I recall We got another practice game before Georgia, a team we usually play well against like we usually play bad vs Florida. I tell you what. For now on I'm just going to find something to do during the Florida game. Go to the beach or something and not watch football. I hate Florida so much and their fans are the most undeserving I've ever seen. Every year it's just like a tooth ache watching that crap and I be damn if I'm going to force myself through it again next year at the swamp.

A Very Manly Man

Now now....emotions were running high last night....which is why I didn't even touch my computer.

I think the biggest difference in the two halves is our offensive line had a hell of a time pass blocking. Bray didn't have the time he had in the first half. The offense lost it's composure and stopped producing and the defense couldn't get off the field. We looked like a tired team in the second half. Teague took a terrible angle on that quarterback touchdown and was badly out of position of the big third down pass completion where we brought the house and got burned and the safetly blew out his knee.

I don't know if Florida's depth was that much better....but I suspect that their players were better rested in the second half, as they closed strongly and we didn't.

I'm worried that Bray pulled another KY and just quit trying in the second half....maybe not...I hope not......

Well if you can find some positives moving forward. I thought our run blocking was the best it's been with this group of lineman. Maybe we figured out how to get that 1 or 2 yds on 3rd and 4th and short. A.J Johnson in wildcat? Why not? Afterall he wears Johnny Majors old number. Our snapper and holder also did a good job. Punter kept them backed up until the last one..... Can anyone think of anything else?

3 plays, pretty much...2 runs and a pass. Combine that with a few drops on 3rd down plays from us, and that's pretty much what did it.

Big problem last night was Sunseri got schooled, big time.
