I didn't expect to go undefeated. I said after the NC state game that game really didn't show our shortcomings and I didn't change my 8-4 prediction. I didn't expect the team to get completely dominated, at home, for a half by a team that hasn't shown alot of offensive ability.

I think this team is the most talented that Dooleys had so far, but vastly improved? Don't see it, better than year 1 & 2 but still a loooong way from being where we want and expect to be.

Big plays beat us tonight.

We had a couple of long sustained drives where we ran the ball effectively.

We all know that you are upset that the Vols do not run the wing t or wishbone.

Big plays on our defense hurt us more than our offense did. They were not really driven on in sustained drives.
I challenge you to find a thread where I said I wish we ran the T...Wing T...or wishbone as our base offense!!. I've posted and I'll look it up if I have to that I don't care what we run out of but we damn sure better run if we are gonna win big in the SEC...Look at the stats there Tux and then look at the scoreboard. Keep giving me excuses and I'll show you more of the same as you saw tonight.

Now Tux...tell me...what happened to the passing offense that you said couldn't be stopped? Why didn't your BOY Chaney scheme against Florida like you posted that Florida did against us. Where did we use our speed and our playmakers on offense to out-scheme Florida?

Remember...we were favored in this game...at home...and we got curb-stomped! But all is well and Akron comes to town next week and Chaney and our can't be stopped passing offense will shine!

Unreal the excuses

We are a vastly improved team. Florida us a damn good and talented team. We had them in our sights and did not finish the job. Don't go away thinking that Florida was not a talented offense. They made some great adjustments and executed them. Those big plays were huge. The mistakes that were made during them can be corrected.

Phil, you quit on this team. Fine. That does not take effort.

I choose not to be a fair weather fan just because we lost a heartbreaker.

Look Tux, I get your positive thinking attitude and I don't view it as a bad thing. I just don't see the program trending upward like you do, at least not at the rate that you do.

Awh...the adjustment angle. And please tell me when Chaney has adjusted at the half and out-schemed anyone worth a damn? Or is his adjustments intended to not score points in the 2nd half against the good-uns? I guess his adjustments are why their offense had 300 plus yards in the last 20 minutes and we had 50. Chaney is WAC material...no more no less!. He will get Dooley fired unless Dooley wakes up.

I'll hang up and listen.

I take offense to that Tux...I've never quit on anything in my life and I'll be glad to put the money I've spent in 60 years on the Vols up against you any day any time . You sound like a Lib turning on the person and not the issues!!!

I posted and waiting on your reply...I've been a Vol fan for 60 years....and YOU?

Winners don't make excuses and losers live by excuses.

I honestly believe if we had Jamal Lewis, Barry Sanders, & Ron Dayne for rb's instead of the ones we have, Chaney wouldn't run the ball more than 15 times a game unless Dooley made him.

I know that you thought we should have run the triple option down two scores. It is difficult to run your full playbook, when you are playing from behind.

Go back and look at the drives we had prior to giving up three huge plays that gashed our defense. Our issues tonight were more defensive related than offensive related. We don't get gashed fir 80 yards twice, we could gave continued to run the ball like you are crying about.

Run the triple option? Really? Ok, since you've got it all figured out no need to debate it anymore I guess.

Played a hell of a defensive game the first half...The second half we got out-coached and out-schemed by halftime adjustments and Bray went full retard and Our CAN'T be stopped passing attack looked like something you would see in a city park on a Sunday afternoon. Our 3 and outs from our Can't be stopped passing attack gassed our out-matched defense the 2nd half...plain and simple.

Would someone please tell me when we have out-schemed anyone worth a damn the 2nd half? What kind of scheme is it that gets us ass-raped in the 2nd half. I just can't figure out how they stopped our can't be stopped passing attack from scoring 30 plus points I thought we could score against anyone?

Chaney has zero business in the SEC as an OC ....Might be worth a damn as a qb coach but thats about it. Thats why we whiff on Stud running backs. Would you want to play in this offensive (non-scheme) if you were a stud running back looking to make a living in the NFL someday?

Tux will just call you a quitter on the team and come up with more excuses!

Lost a heart breaker? For the love of God, how many heart breakers do you have to watch us lose before you realize they will keep on coming with this idiot coaching this team? He has never beaten a ranked team. 30-35 record. Got his ass handed to him in yet another second half meltdown. Look at the entire body of work, not just this game. Dooley does not know what it takes to win, period. 1-7 last year in the SEC and celebrated an OT win to vandy at home like he had just coached his team to victory in the SEC championship. This guy is a loser and his record speaks for itself. His recruiting is tanking, his motivational skills consist of a road to nowhere and a damn orange dog, he thinks we "held serve" with uf in the kicking game and gave the team the day off today.

These second half beat downs are a symptom of the disease. Dooley does not know how to win, accepts losing very easily and the team has adopted his losing mentality. The sooner he is gone, the sooner we will get back to being Tennessee. As long as he stays, we are the LaTech of the SEC. It is time to stop the bleeding. You can blame the players, blame the fans, blame fulmer and kiffin or any other lame assed excuse you can think of, but the reality of the situation is that this is dooley's team lock, stock and barrel. The blame rests squarely on his shoulders and the state of the program rests upon the shoulders of a fan base that worships coaches and refuses to accept reality. Fulmer was retained at least 3 years too long. Every minute dooley continues to be retained is too long. It is time.

Whether or not any of that is true really does not matter right now.

I mean I understand the need to vent, but I'm assuming I dont have to tell you that there is absolutely no way whatsoever Hart is going to call Dooley this afternoon and fire him. When the season is over? Maybe (though as long as Dooley wins 7+ it's really unlikely). Right this second? Just not going to happen unless he's found naked with a dead hooker or a live man.
