So what is Fla going to play tomorrow, soft man with 2 safeties over the top, zone or press? Either way I think our receivers win. NC State D Backs were giving huge cushions 5-6 yard to our WR's and we burned them deep. Florida likes press in your face coverage and I think the coaching staff has prepared for that this week. That is what they showed against TAM. What say you? |

UF's defense was a straight up man - the entire game. The Ags WR's - specifically the RSF M. Evans and the NFL bound Swope (Evans being 6'5" and Swope a solid 6'1") did a fine job catching passes vs the smallish UF DB's - and the RSF QB Manziel delivered the ball - on the money where his WR's would make the catch. the Ags put 17 on the board and ripped up and down the field in the 1st half. What worked for the Aggies in the 1st half - a very physically talented QB - with the speed to get up the field - a better than average running game w/C. Michael - playing behind an extremely talented and deep OL. They executed the up tempo offense well vs the Gators. The receivers were "covered" - didn't see any busted coverage per se by the Gators in the secondary - the Aggies just CTDB. The second half battle between the OL/DL - and the Gators stopping the Aggie running game was the difference. IMO this comes down to the Gators and the recovery from the physical beating they took last Saturday - as well as stopping the Tennessee running game - and getting after Bray.. The Gator offense isn't going to outscore the Tennessee offense - and Gillisless is nicked. |

Their most experienced corner, Cody Riggs, is out. I expect them to draw defensive holding and pass interference penalties. Elam is very aggressive safety who loves to play run support. Play action might draw him up or make his hesitate just long enough for Vols to beat him over the top. But again, Tennessee's front seven on defense is the key. They have to get off the field and give the ball back to Bray and Company. They must keep Driskel in the pocket. |

Tennesse must be aggressive on both sides of the ball. This applies to the coaches as well. |

Florida will mix up their coverages in hopes of confusing Bray. If they stayed straight man to man, Bray would kill them because even the Gator DBs can not handle Justin and CP mano-y-mano. They will play various schemes, cover one with man under, zone rolling to a particular side. Bray just has to recognize the coverage. It is all about where the safeties line up. If our OL can protect Bray long enough, he will pick the Gators apart. |

Bray has shown patience this year. I believe he will take what they give him on his checkdowns until the opportunity to beat them over the top presents itself. With Rivera and now maybe Downs and the Pig along with Devrin and Neal underneath, he can still get the ball to a playmaker in space. I am really glad that Downs is back, if he is for this game. Vols will still use jumbo with Bullard at end. Will we see Pig in the wildcat? Will we see King throw out of the wildcat formation? Should be exciting and you just got to feel that Chaney has a few surprises in store for the Gayturds. |

Every play Bray is not under center hurts UT more than it helps. I'm not a big fan of the Wildcat. |

If I am Florida's defensive coordinator I play nickel from the get and make Tennessee beat me with the run. I double either Patterson or Justin every play. |

That's not a wildcat, really (whatever the hell that actually means). It's a true triple option package, it's just that the formation is combining the pistol set with a double wing/wing T. I doubt we see Pig run it. I REALLY doubt we see King throw from it. I do expect we will see it, however, unless our single back running game clicks early on (in which case, we probably wont see it as in that situation we will be beating the everloving shit out of florida's D already and wont need it). As for Florida's D, dont know. Combo coverages with alot of stunts & blitzes up front. They are going to have to gamble about whether to shade CP or Hunter on each play, though. Rivera is going to be important... Muschamp is going to bring pressure and like Tux said, double/shade on Hunter/CP. Rivera and the backs are going to be wide ass open most of the night, as long as Bray can get them the ball. Lane may actually have a big game, too....he's pretty money out of the backfield in the passing game. |

Can Florida generate any offense? Seems Gillislee is going to play - and there is a problem. Driskel is a big kid - and runs well. Actually throws a very nice pass. Doesn't have much at the WR position to work with - but a couple good TE's. The Gators defense played well - especially up front - vs an uptempo Tiller/Leach offense. Didn't see a lot of breakdowns defensively - other than a QB who did turn it up the field during the 1st half. Lost J. Jenkins early - replaced him with a FR who had a nice game - again vs a very good OL. There is a bit of speed up front - and Bray will have to handle that. Don't think Florida has enough O to win this game - |

Maybe not. Jury is still out on UT's defense, however. IMO anyway. I still think we see some points scored tonight from both teams. |
