Here's what I am thinking are the keys to victory over the swamp rats.

1. Most important key in the game is controlling the running of Jeff Driskel, he has a little Tebow in him.

2. Florida's game plan will be to exploit the edges and run a short passing game. Set the edge and man up on their receivers.

3. Tennessee can not run on Florida thus lets pass the ball on third and short to our backs or tight end, if we do run lets get the QB under center on short yardage plays.

4. Must control Florida's bubble screens.

If we control the running of Driskel we win this game.

Controlling the running of Jeff Driskel may be 1B.

1A: Keep Palardy off the field.

Tenn has to sustain drives and not rely only on big plays. Otherwise, I agree with you. Zippy brings up a good point about Palardy--hopefully we will score TD's and not have to rely on field goals.

Gillislee is nicked - groin injury - healthy his a problem as he is one of those second level backs, and getting to the edge has the speed to gain more yardage.

Jones is a big kid - didn't see much of his running ability M. Brown the same. These two may have to carry the load for the Gators this Saturday.

T. Burton just makes plays for the Gators.

Driskel - solid QB play - takes way tooo many sacks. Throws the ball well - and his receivers aren't that bad. he has the ability to make plays with his size and speed.

Pease offense - nice play calling - and the Gators did a good job executing those plays - nothing remotely close to what one expects from a BSU offense - other than a power running game.

The Gators aren't going to score a lot of points. They have beaucoup talent - yet come in to K-town a physically beat up ball team.

If Coach Dooley is smart he will only use Palardy on kickoffs. I would never use him on field goals again......NEVER.

That. If I were Dooley and given the two options of either a) kicking field goals w/ Palardy or b) going for it on 4th down every time in field goal range, without exception....I'd go with B in a heartbeat.

Personally though, I'd actually go with C: Brodus kicks field goals w/in 35 yards, and if it's outside that range I'm going for it or punting.

DOOLEY: We have activated Christian Harris and Pig Howard. Not sure either will play. Curt Maggitt and Herman Lathers are still questionable

Dooley opens press conference by announcing the Vols will kick Derrick Brodus over Michael Palardy.

Don't look for us to even try to put together 14 play 90 yard drives. The Vols offense since Dooley has been here with Bray at the helm is geared towards putting points on the scoreboard not grinding the clock down.

Dooley said he did a lot of "soul searching" about offense in off-season. Wants to score points. Not worried about long drives.

DOOLEY: I used to be of the (slow-offense) philosophy, but I'm not anymore. I want to score. I'm not going to slow our guys down.
