Lane is now the co-starter with Neal and Young ...

... also, over the weekend, coach Graham had some of the construction guys erect a brick wall on Haslam Field for this morning's practice. He had Neal repeatedly run into that wall with full force to teach him the importance of NOT bouncing outside when you encounter an obstacle. After about 10 tries, Neal stopped bouncing outside, the brick wall collapsed and Neal gained 30 yards.

By the way, in case you think that the brick wall story is real, Graham painted gullible on each side of it.

If Neal doesn't improve quick and stop his dancing...he needs to have his ass sitting on the bench.

Have to disagree with you Phil. He's too fast and athletic to go to the bench, he needs to have his ass in the slot as a receiver where I have always said he was at his best. The best thing you can say about his performance last Friday was that he didn't fumble.

They will keep Neal in there for a while in order to reward him for winning the job this August. Lane has to improve his practice habits. If you give the job to Lane after Friday, then why does he need to improve. Lane was definitely the best back in the 2nd half and I got frustrated when he came out of the game. Neal did have a good TD run where he showed some toughness. Lane broke several tackles this game--more than he did all last year. He looks stronger.
