DaRick was a talent but are we better off without him from a morale standpoint? I keep thinking of the Ky game where he showed no emotion, barely going through his routine. Sometimes talent is trumped by effort. Tenn has had a lot of guys who weren't NFL talent, but were hard nosed and stepped in and became one hell of a college football player. They were team players. Will these guys now step up to make this a memorable season? |

You pose a great question. What would have happened if Hunter and Patterson started getting more balls their way? Would Da'Rick have been a good team mate or would he have been a locker room cancer? If you remember, he pouted a bit when Hunter was lighting it up last season. |

Good point Tux. Read the article I just posted by Low. It has a lot of meat to it. I tend to think we will be better off without Rogers. |

No question if a couple of the freshmen step up that this team could be better without the trouble making Rogers. There are now reports leaking out that there was some sort of problem with him at Milligan, maybe involving a few other players. Also has been mentioned that there was another problem pop up when they returned to Knoxville last weekend. A wide reciever that may get 7-10 touches a game can be replaced, especially when you have Hunter and Patterson to head up the depth chart. Some are saying that a few of the players are even privately making it known they are glad he is gone. Rivera didn't seem too upset and had a no comment or two in his interview. The linemen hold the key to the success or failure of this team, not a loose cannon like DumbRick Rogers. |

This is going to change how defenses play us. Teams may not play the nickel and dime on us as much. Still, it may help the team chemistry. |
