Just looked at some threads on various UT boards and believe it or not, there are some sick fans who are blaming Dooley for kicking Rogers off of the team.

Does any team outside of Alabama have screwier fans than we do?

Yes ... Penn State.
What he said. Those guys are nuts.

UT's definitely in the top 5 though.

Rogers is young.

Young people often make bad choices.

I listened to Dooley's presser. He is dead on.

Poor choices and bad behavior have negative consequences. You let them know what you expect and what will happen if your expectations are not met.

Then you keep your word.

It's as simple as that.

If it's just a flunked drug test, are we all going to be so adamant of keeping him off the team? Doesn't the second failed test merit a one game suspension? If it's more, then boot him. I bet more than 50% of the team are smoking weed.

I think we should be proud of Dooley.

Ha, ha, I bet that's some of the same wierdos who wanted Bray suspended for throwing beer bottles and splashing swimmers! Coach Dooley did what he had to do for the good of the football team. They have eight days to get ready for the opener and Coach said they already had contingency plans for a development such as this. My suggestion to DumbRick would be to go to Canada and play, smoke his dope and have a big old time.

Dooley gave this kid every chance and he (DR) screwed it up. You can only go so far trying to help...there has to be an end-point and DR reached it. No one is to blame but himself.

Unless Dooley had a one-more-strike-and-you-are-out policy with Da'Rick ... I think we all knew that he was on the brink of getting kicked.

What I just can't understand is how Da'Rick could have smoked weed (or done any drug) knowing full well that testing is happening all the time these days AND that he was on a short fuse.

Either his intelligence is strongly lacking, or he has some of the worst impulses known to humanity.

If it was weed, that's the most expensive joint in America this week.

Da'Rick probably thought he could get away with it again. I think the SEC should have a drug testing policy that all schools should have to honor. I mean, we are talking about something that is still illegal.
