The first segment deals with our wide receivers and the impact of DR's suspension on them

Dooley says Da'Rick Rogers likely gone for good.

Dooley: There is very minimal catch-up for CP and the other receivers. We have prepared for every possibility since the start of camp.

Dooley: This is not the first incident of disruption so to speak so the team handled it fine. I'm more worried about adversity in a game.

Dooley: The lesson from last year was not being held hostage to an injury or two. The deeper you are, the better you can handle those.

Dooley: Mychal Rivera is back. He's moving good and that is good to see.

Dooley: CP has the size, speed, ball skills and competitive character. Challenge now is to get him playing at game speed.
Remember, we still have two stud receivers on this team. Our slot guy will be a good underneath guy who should still catch a lot of balls. Rivera should still get a lot of seams against zones and one-on-one mismatches with linebackers.

Dooley went on to address our running back situation.

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: Rajion Neal has been really consistent and has progressed in all areas. I couldn't tell his bad practices from his good ones.
Quote:

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: Ball security has been no issue with Rajion during camp.
Very little mention of Marlin Lane. Neal must have set the camp on fire. Maybe he has pictures of Dooley and a goat in the woods?

Dooley then discussed our defensive personnel.
Quote:

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: Watching Daniel McCullers work and progress, he has done well. He fits in that base defense and gives us size inside that we need.

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: Herman Lathers is a good player and we don't have a lot of depth at inside backer. He's experienced and has communication command.

Dooley: Marsalis Teague has earned it in camp. Now he has to earn it on the field.
I am curious to see how aggressive we get in rushing the passer with this defense under Sunseri.

Dooley then went on to talk about our kickers.
Quote:

Dooley: Darr and Palardy have had as good a camp as any two punters I've been around. Matt might go out first but we have two punters.

Patrick Brown ‏@patrickbrownTFP
Dooley says Palardy and Darr are punting 'lights out.' Suggests Darr will be first guy.

Dooley talks about NC State and using coaching talk.
Quote:

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: NC State could fit right in our league. I don't view it as SEC vs ACC. No difference in my eyes.
Quote:

Tennessee Football ‏@Vol_Football
Dooley: NC State is one of the best secondaries we are going to face, one of the best in the country. They make you pay for mistakes.

Burning Man, 2009 FOREVER

It's not Marlin, it's Raijon. Neal has always had all the talent you could ask for, he's just never shown up to play. Marlin is not as talented as Neal, never was. Nothing against Lane.

If Neal is really stepping up his game...I mean REALLY, not just coach-speak stepping it up...then losing DaRick doesnt hurt anywhere nearly as much as it otherwise would.
