It is early but the writers are talking about a possible positive test. He has never missed a game before, so if it is a positive test, it would only be his first or second test. Second positive at UT equals one game suspension.

If this is the case, you have to wonder about his IQ. He has millions of dollars waiting on him if he can stay clean for 4 months. Pretty damn stupid.

One thing is certain, though. Contingency plans to play without Da'Rick have been in place. This was always possible.

I have said it before and I will say it again, Coach Dooley has been too lenient with Rogers since he got here. He gets treated like a prima donna and should have been dismissed before now. He didn't want to go to a bowl game last year so he quit in the Kentucky game, he was involved in a brawl his freshman year, he got into it with Coach Baggget, he just came off a two week ban earlier (remember the McKaffery incident). Time to cut the umbilical cord and send Da'Rick back to Georgia. An indefinite suspension is not enough.

Jusrt yesterday, one of the UT media members was saying that Rogers was the "MVP" of summer camp. That he was giving more effort and doing more in camp than anyone else. Obviously he was doing more than anyone else outside of camp too.

Is anyone really surprised, knowing what we have known about this million dollar talent with a nickel head?

Dooley's interview will be up soon. Tyler Bray said that Dooley did not give a reason as to why Rogers was suspended. He just told the team that he was suspended for breaking team rules.

I'm confident he'll be back by Florida, unless there are some criminal charges pending. If it's a failed drug screen, he'll play before the season's over.

PS: Good call on your college team Patterson. Hopefully you are really as good as advertised.

PS2: please, pretty please with sugar on top...PLEASE DONT THROW THE BALL TO JOE DIRT

Just read that Dave Hart suspended Da'Rick Rogers.

That tells me that it was definitely a positive test.

If so, this would be Da'Rick Roger's 2nd positive test and has to serve a one game suspension. The third positive is expulsion from the team and school.

Maybe I was wrong. There is speculation that he was talking with an agent over the summer.

RT @tennesseebeat: Dooley said he doesn't expect Rogers will play for Vols this season
That sounds prettty final.

I am leaning towards the agent rumor. Good to find this now rather than after the season was underway or over.
