I really would not ask any of them anthing, at this point. Just grant him a release if necessary and/or wanted. At this point it's probably in both our best interests that both move on.

I'd be tempted to hold the dad's feet to the coals over the 'broken promises' thing and make him put up or shut up, so to speak, until we did anything. But to be honest I probably would not do so when it came right down to it.

Bourque has made some very poor personal decisions not unlike the rest of us. I don't feel the need to crucify him and thus wish him the best.

Yeah, but you know that Dooley doesn't like players that won't talk with him personally ... Pat Martin did so, and Dooley was quite helpful, but Bryce Brown suffered the consequences and had to sit out a year because he wouldn't talk with Dooley.

Why do you think we are crucifying him? His father is negative toward Tenn in the newspaper. We are expressing our displeasure with the way it has been handled from his end. Describing it as crucifying is a little extreme, don't you think?

Yes, and also wish the best to the baby that will have no father in the home and the baby mammy down there in Louisiana who will have to go on public assistance to care for herself and the child. And also the best to Mr Grandbabydidi who felt compelled to run off at the mouth and make a fool of himself since his son wasn't in Knoxville long enough to figure out how to get to the Mouse's Ear.

Critical Reading 101- I never said anyone crucified him, I just said I didn't feel the need to do so. However, if you are mean spirited and foam at the mouth when the opportunity to belittle someone appears then have at it. I just never got much satisfaction that way.

The kid's 18 and we've known from the beginning he's a flake and a half, so I'd be inclined to just part ways quickly and move on. Bryce Brown is a significantly different story, I think. Just a different situation entirely.

If I am not mistaken, he can attend whatever school he wants on scholarship next season. He has to sit out this season.

I don't really have a problem with bourque.....but daddy's really pissed me off. If he doesn't have the balls to actually elaborate on the "broken promises"...then he's a coward OR there aren't really any broken promises that amount to anything important. To just toss that out there like that leaves a bad impression on future recruits and does possible harm to the university. These Dads (or stepdads...it doesn't seem to matter) that try to live their lives through kids....need a good pop in the nads.

Why would you say " I don't feel the need to crucify him" if you didn't feel he was being crucified by someone? Logic 101

Logic 202- Because that is normally what happens on these forums when a player leaves under these or similar circumstances. Not feeling guilty are you????

Logic 202. "What normally happens!" Not in my post above unless you interpreted it wrong. Your forgiven!
