Vandy is undefeated too! What's this world coming to.

Yep....but they're still Vandy.

You mention that we might be upset.....but we might upset.

If we can keep everybody healthy, we can line up with everybody we play with the single exception of Bammer from a talent perspective. Frankly, we may be better than Bammer on offense....but on D we are way behind.

At this point there's no point to sit around grinding your teeth. When we use to suck with Battle and early Majors, all I ever asked was that we be in a position where we could win a lot of games and I'm the same way here. I think we at least have the potential to win. With some luck maybe we'll do great....maybe not....but at least we're relevent again.

I don't care what anyone did last year. This is this year. What happened last year has not effect on today and tomorrow.

Frankly, this team is a year older and understand what they are supposed to be doing.

Honestly, we win the SEC East this year.

See you in Atlanta!! :hammy:

The team left their camp a day early. They wouldn't have done that unless they have already got the 3-4 figured out and mastered the other things you do pre season. You got to look at it from that perspective. With limited practice time in this modern day era, it says a lot about a team that's able to skip it's last day of camp.

If they really this progressed and Tyler Bray really is one of top QB's in nation as some national people are suspecting, I think we can win 10 games.

Exactly gateway. That's how I'm looking at it.

To steal a line from Hawk: we are undefeated, until we aren't.

Let's just think about the defensive line, Couch, one of our best NT last year, is playing end. Sentimore, who has credentials, has been playing hard and leading by example. Now we have Green mile, whose presence lets us keep these guys out on the end, where they belong. Think about how much that improves our size across the front. Plus, Jac Smith, who was undersized at end, is a good size for lb. We are a much more physical team, even if we don't know the schemes as well!

McCullers is another reason I'm pretty optimistic, he's been tearing it up in camp.

A lot of those yards were against the twos. To me the defense played okay considering Lathers was on the shelf which effects our communication among the front seven. I really want Moore and Coleman in the starting lineup.

Damned the Aggie flip flops once again - as it fits his way of thinking.

Yes - there is no such thing as rebuilding/reloading/building for the future. Yes, a team plays through injuries - there has been only one team that has won a BCS NC with zero injuries to their 2 deep. One and one only.

Tennessee can win big time, for example, without Bray at QB - as there are two excellent SEC quality kids ready to step in.. The same for receivers and LB's.

Some on said Tennessee's offense is at a level to that of Alabama's offense.. Different style - as SI pointed out - the Oline - TE's and RB's are pretty good..

Tennessee's offense in 2012 is likely going to be light years beyond what Alabama's will be. The defense will be the polar opposite.

I think you are right on Bray, Tennessee can probably win without him this year. Worley is not as talented, but he's good (and the receivers are spectacular, so they can carry him anyway). UT can probably withstand an injury @ WR.

I'm not so sure about LB, though. Backups are just plain terrible

All I ask from our D this year is to shut Florida down. Regardless how bad our D may be, I think that's a possible goal.
