Duke Report Says Vols Lead For Robert Hubbs

This is some big and good news.

Cuonzo Martin is in the mix for some of the best players in the nation.

We look good with Crawford, JW3, Hubbs, and Nichols.

If Coach Martin can overcome the massive ego of the high school corch at Dyer County who would just love to proclaim that he sent a player to Coach K and Duke, then CCM will have proved a hell of a lot to many of us. Am going to try to see Hubbs play this winter at some point.

Their evaluation:

Evaluation

For those who haven't seen Hubbs, the first word that comes to mind when watching him is explosive. He's a terrific athlete who will impress you with his finishing ability above the rim. He's a good scorer who is constantly in the lane and always attacking the basket. Hubbs possesses good length too and rebounds well for his position. However, he does need to improve his ball-handling as well as his decision making. He can also get stronger.

He sounds like a better version of McRea. If Martin can finish with three of those four hs kids, he will have hit one out of the park. In reality, you need two or more top 100 players a year in order to stay relevent in college basketball (top 20).

Martin's teams can be scary good if he brings this type of talent in each year. He's a great coach and a great mentor to his players. I get excited just thinking about it. It is the one unknown to Martin (if he can recruit big names)......
