A Very Manly Man

Khambrel Garland - jc db from az.

Don't know nothing about him except he's from Palardy's high school, so he's not going to be kicking anything......oh yeah...he was originally signed by Northern Illinois, so we got that going for us!!!

Maybe ... Scout is always jumping the gun. They still have Comas committed, despite the fact that he has specifically said that he is not committed until his dad checks out a few things.

He can commit, but the coaches have to accept the commitment. Not sure at this point that he has a committable offer ... we have a lot of DB's on the hook right now that are very good talents.

(And, unfortunately we don't have a lot on the hook that are LB, OL, or DL)

Garland only played in 14 HS games because of transfer and eligibility issues but was still earned a scholarship to a FBS program.
He did play at Hutchinson CC last year.

The skill set is there. He's 6'0 200lbs & runs a 4.48 40. Some believe he can contribute immediately at cornerback. he is big, fast and physical.

Garland told the UT coaches that OK just offered him and that Nebraska wanted him to camp there.

You have to be talented to play at STA.

I am reading a lot of reports that conflict.

Cody McKee said that he committed. Austin price said that he did not commit yet. He just told 24/7 that UT has not offered him yet but if they do, he will committ.

it sounds like the staff wants to do a thorough background check on the kid. He does have some issues that will soon come to light.

Coaches Are Likely Trying To See If Ths Has Been Cleared Up

I have read that the charges against him were dropped, but I can not verify this. I am sure that the coaches are looking into this as well.

Hubbs said that Garland really wants to be a Vol, and I'm guessing that he will commit if there is an offer on the table. But, at this point there is apparently no offer/commitment. Tennessee is still doing some homework.

Is Scout having some problems? I mean, there is no need to be this out front of commitments before they are verified. It is almost like they are mad-rushing to post their scoops because they are losing memberships.

Just noticed that Scout has removed his commitment and all stories and posts associated with the commitment.

Quote:

Khambrel Garland has texted InsideTennessee and apologized about the commitment situation saying:

"Sorry about the commitment situation thats not verbal or anything until they send the papers to me sorry."

Unfortunately, it seems that Garland thought he had a 'commitable' offer and that is incorrect at this time. He seems to have spoken to the Tennessee staff and been informed that nothing is official.

Khambrel was very apologetic to the InsideTennessee staff and I feel for him at this time. Hopefully he will be a part of this class in the future. We have updated him to HIGH interest and removed his commitment status.

Scout maybe losing subscribers. I am sure they recently lost several with the offer that was extended by the Wes Tucker bunch. The two cross eyed reporters, Danny and what's his name, are so intent on trying to beat Hubbs and Volquest to the punch on a story that they stubbed their whittle toes again. However, there is a new commit, maybe!
