SEC basketball's level of play will be down again 2012-2013. UK lost 6 players, Florida just lost their best player, Vandy loses everything. UK has the best recruiting class in the nation, but I'm not convinced they will be world beaters again. Florida will be good. We stand a good chance to contend for the SEC Crown this next season if we get better guard play. |

Missouri/Kentucky/Florida keep the SEC status where it is - nationally elites with world class HCes. Cal is gonna dominate the conference - no question about that (loses 6 - then signs the best HSer in the nation - nothing new in Lexington) Missouri swapped KU for UK - should make for some exciting games. The Gators - solid, program - nice run in the post season. Texas A&M had a rough season under Kennedy - after so much preseason praise - should be a force in the SEC - as they Ags have been a solid national program for a number of years. For UK it's not so much what Cal does but what he brings on campus. Davis and Kidd Gilcrest were freaks who were ready to play SEC ball before they ever got to campus. They will miss Miller very much as he seemed to keep them grounded a bit....but nobody is going to know if the new crop of five stars will actually be ready to go. The SEC is losing a lot of talent this year..which is good for us. |

Vols Not Blown Away By Changes Mike Strange points out that the Vols return more intact than any other team in the SEC. Is that a good thing? Do we bring in any new guys who may add to the equation and make a difference? |
