UK won, but Petino got more out of his guys than Cal did. UK is a damn good team that if Petino had coached, might have won by 15.

I don't see how Ohio State or Kansas hangs with UK.

Agree, UK has the team to beat unless they beat themselves. With Calamari that's a definitely possible.

I would put UK as an 8 point favorite. Kansas cannot begin to match up physically.

Ohio State isn't really a fast break team and they let Kansas hang around because they couldn't pull away....KY will run them up and down the court wear them out.....

KU doesn't have the depth - and few scorers. The do like to get up and down the floor, especially their big guys - and don't mind playing defense.

13 point lead late in the 1st half - tOSU got sloppy on their last possession of the half - then let KU back in the game at the start of the 2nd half.

Self has coached, not a great team to the finals of the NCAA..

Aaron Craft's bone headed play at the end of the first half was key in getting Ohio State beat.

Thad Motta called a time out so that OSU could get the final shot. Craft forgot to run the play and free-lanced and lost track of time and got caught driving to the basket before seeing where his team mates were. He ended up throwing up a prayer in the face of Kansas's center, who blocked the shot. Kansas took the ball and drove the court for a lay-up, which in the end, was the difference in the game.
