Da'Rick Rogers is currently not with the Tennessee Vols team, but he is still a member of the team., However, reports state that he is going to transfer to Georgia State.

Dooley says Da'Rick Rogers is not currently with the team, but not suspended. Scout is reporting that Rogers is transferring to Georgia St.
If true, he would be eligible to play against the Vols on Sept 8th.

Dooley said he has not been told this by Rogers.

Earlier Dooley had said that Rogers was not suspended, but had some work to make up in order to join the team

Sounds like Rogers had a temper tantrum. Dooley needs to let him know that their is no "I"
in team and that a team is no stronger than it's weakest link.

cancer TuxAg - its way, way past time.

Or course getting rid of this cancer seriously impacts they high flyin' flingin' it all over the ball yard at Tennessee.

What you have here is an immature, me-first, self centered individual who obviously has refused to listen to any of the following: the head coach, his position coach, the trainer, the strength coach, the Director of the Vols for Life program, Andre Lott and Condredge Holloway or numerous teammates. It's time to fish or cut bait with this guy, this situation has festered long enough.
Assuming Patterson gets into school, I don't really think losing this guy will have a tremendous impact on this year's team, unless, of course, it is a positive impact. In August, Bowles, Croom, Patterson and the Pig arrive and there is a lot of potential in that quartet.

There is scuttlebutt that there are some underlying issues with Rogers and that they may begin to surface soon.

"issues" that the HC D. Dooley was familiar with - I hope.

Sigh ... being the optimistic type, I'm assuming that this is another instance of the media making an Alabama out of a Vanderbilt. Sounds to me like Da'Rick has an issue he needs to address, and likely the only thing he has to do is to swallow some more pride.

Wes Rucker is on 104.5 the zone, in Nashville, and is saying that the Vols coaching staff has been preparing since January to play without Da'Rick Rogers.

Preparation meaning signing so many WRs in this past class.

Rucker says that this may be all about Rogers wanting attention focused on him.

I'm just worried that Rogers will go to Georgia State and want revenge from us for not letting him do what he wants. We tried to make him practice and work out like everyone else and Rogers isn't the type to put up with this. We need to try to keep him so he don't go to Ga State and catch 15 passes for 363 yds and 5 TD's against us to allow Ga State to upset us.

I doubt that Dooley would give him a release to a team that we will play this season.

Reportedly....Da'Rick supposedly missed a team meeting and was given a punishment of running, which he refused to do.

Couple of interesting notes from Volquest reporters: DayRick would have been academically ineligilbe had the Vols made a bowl game last season. Also, his academic standing is such that he would have a big problem transferring anywhere at the present time.

Zach Rogers was also asked about DayRick and didn't offer much at all. However, I took this as a nice, back handed at DayRick. Zach Rogers on Justin Hunter:
"Justin is the greatest teammate, one of the greatest teammates I've ever been around," Zach Rogers said. "He's very selfless, very humble. He comes out here and works and he's obviously one of the best receivers in college football. So it's an honor to play alongside him."

He's not going to GA State ... that's just him blowing off some steam on twitter.
