NIT Bound

Well it appears that we are NIT bound.

At the beginning of the season and half way through the season, I think that most everyone would have been happy with an NIT berth for this team. After we saw how this team bought into Cuonzo Martin, it is disappointing to not make the NCAA Tourney.

This team needs and deserves the opportunity to play in the post-season, one way or another. So it will be the NIT.

The Vols will be team with the largest attendance in the NIT, thus, we stand to play a lot of home games in the NIT. A home crowd advantage could propel this team all the way to Madison Square Garden.

I am hearing that the Vols could very well be hosting a very good MTSU squad in the first round of the NIT.

Every game that Jarnell and the younger guys can take part in will be a bonus in experience for next season. Had rather see them play four or five in the NIT than to lose in the first round of the NCAA. Obviously, UT was not going to make an elite eight run this year.
