Will this weekend B Pat's last home game?

I wonder? The program is going to be in a rebuilding mode next season and chances are Pat's condition is going to worsen. I hope they do something to honor her just in case. Of course, she could always have a special night next season I guess. Coaching by committee needs to go bye-bye!

I hate to say it....but for the good of the program, she needs to be made a Coach Emeritus, be put in a luxury box and given whatever she wants....heck, bring her six well hung men, if she's still into men - I could never really figure that one out.

The next question would be "who takes over" and in my opinion it should be somebody not on campus now. A big hitter who can get recruiting settled down. I'm not sure I'm even going to miss the sr's all that much as they have proven to be a bunch that don't rise with the challenge again and again. It will be the end of an amazing era....but it's still salvagable if we don't go through any more years of what we have this year......

The key to me is getting WarLICK out of there and getting one of two things in there, a big name, well known head coach who can recruit or one of the two ex-Lady Vols who are now head corches, Nikki Caldwell or Kellie Jolly Harper.
See if this sounds familiar, I like Kellie, she is a Tennessee girl, grew up in Tennessee, played her high school ball in Tennessee and then was the starting point guard for the Lady Vols on one or two national championship teams.
Some have said that a coach doesn't want to follow the Legend, but be the one who follows the person that followed the Legend. I don't really agree with this for women's basketball because recruiting is everything and a strong recruiter can come in and get the program back on top with just one or two top five recruits and some solid role players.
Of course my personal choice would be Sherry Coale and her awesome rack from Oklahoma. But I don't guess they will allow me to offer input!

+1 on Coale's rack.....the rest isn't shabby either! Jolley, Caldwell or Kim Mulkey.

Are you saying we should take it to the rack? :devilsmoke:

To the rack, in the rack, whichever! However, it would be a seamless transition. Also I do agree that Mulkey has a certain degree of hotness as in "she's a spitfire for sure."

One coach that ought to draw some consideration is mitchell from KY. I realize he's packing a penis.....but he's a hell of a coach.....

I spoke with my contact yesterday. He said that they have been trying various treatment for Pat and they believe that they have found one that best help Pat deal with her affliction in a way that she ids very clear headed.

Word got back that a top recruit in Georgia was going to jump ship, based on word that Pat was leaving. Pat flew down to see her this past week and told the recruit that she would be coaching her next season at UT. Pat is not stepping down.

I just hope we get Matthew Mitchell in here when PHS leaves. This current team is not well coached and they are NOT that talented. I look for them to lose at the sweet sixteen level. No half court offense for the last 7 years if ever. I cannot remember that far back. PHS is a great defensive coach and an even better recruiter but she never could coach offense. Like someone said she has been the best at representing UT and the state of Tennessee better than anyone in my lifetime. Wishing you the best Coach Summitt.
