I missed the entire first hakf due to a prior engagement. Did I hear right, in that we trailed by 13 points? We must have been really bad. We totally controlled the game in the second half. We wiped the glass clean and controlled the pace of play. Golden and Maymon took over. Andy Kennedy is a good bench coach and has some athleticism on that team. How in the hell, did Steven Pearl play before Maymon last season? |

We came out flatter than granny grit's chesticles....and Ole Miss was really dominating inside. The big surprise was Miller, who came in and really gave us a spark while filling Hall's role. He seems to be able to provide some quick scores whenever he plays....my guess is that Martin's not happy with his practice habits and/or D. UT fought through the early adversity (it was 15 - 2 at one point), however.....and really played good defense the rest of the half.... |

I understand that Jordan McRae's dunk was the #2 highlight n SPIN Sport Center. It was good to see McRae put two halves together last night. He had not played well offensively in the second half of prior games recently. Dwight Miller had a big first half. After getting a total of 12 minutes in all prior SEC games combined, Miller played a dozen minutes last night. Does that signal that Kenny Hall is done? |

The Weebels had two guys that, combined, went 7 for 7 from the field in the early going. The staff adjusted well to both of them at halftime and basically shut them down. Both Kennedy and the young corch at South Carolina are probably on the hot seat this year. South Carolina, in particular, has become a basketball "coaching graveyard" of sorts. I remember when Eddie Fogler was celebrated at Candy and he went to SC and it was the end of the coaching line for him. |
