Our guard play did us in again. We played some good ball during stretches tonight, but our guard play went hell and we played like crap in some key stretches.

We have been complaining that we need some more big guys, byt we desperately need someone to handle and distributr tge ball.

You have got to admit that Martin is a better coach than Pearl and Tennessee looks like a real basketball team now. Just wait a couple years and we will be in the sweet sixteen.

A Very Manly Man

I like Martin a lot. Pearl was a great coach also.....they are VERY different coaches. It's hard to argue with a guy who takes the same team from Buzz, which basically sucked the year before and making them beat teams like Florida and Texas on their home floors. Sure Pearl had some faults.....but dang if he didn't revive our entire bball program.

If Martin can start getting more Stokes type players and less Washpun type players....I think there's no limit to how successful he can be. It's now clear that there was a very large adjustment that had to be made by our returning players and it's just now sinking in for most of them. I really like Richardson's upside and the Nigerian could be a pretty strong post if he keeps improving. Both of these guys play fearless defense (not always good defense...but they're working hard and not backing down).......
