I had a basketball practice and missed the game.....who played point guard when Golden was out? My guess would be either McBee or Richardson. Supposedly Washpun hurt his leg and therefor didn't play, but I suspect that they're getting somebody else ready to be the #2 point. |

I listened to the game on my way home last night. Washpun is going to be okay according Cuonzo. We started out hitting everything from behind the arc and went up 9-0. They took Tre Golden out for a breather and before you know it, we were down by 4 points. We will struggle when Golden sits. McRae was a gunner with no conscience last night. Priest and Bob said that Maymon and Hall were getting great position down in the blocks and McRae never got the ball down to them. Skylar McBee was knocking several treys down and kept us in position to wear UL-M down. Maymon was a beast on the boards and Golden had another strong night with 17 points and 11 assists. Richardson had a good night scoring and an even better night defensively. He may end up being our stopper. Dwight Miller had a very good second half defensively and on the boards. I am quite worried about our post play. Every time Hall got the ball down low, he dribbled it off of his foot and out of bounds or left his shot short-he was guarded by smaller players all night. Woolridge was guarded by a 6'5 guard and he kept missing 6 foot fall away jumpers. Fall away jumpers from 6 feet with a 6'2 guard on him!!!! Maymon was a beast and will be our force in the middle. If we can get help out of Miller, we could get some decent post play, but I am about to give up[ on Hall and Woolridge, just 2 games into the season. |
