A lot of people get aggrevated with this stuff, but to me it's just part of the sounds of football season. I think I would really miss it if the screeners quit allowing this stuff, even though I too have bitched about it. Here is a caller from a couple days ago. Slob - "Next we have Clyde from Greenback on the line. Go ahead Clyde." Clyde - "............................................ (noise in background)........................" Slob - "Clyde? Are you there? Please listen through the telephone and turn the radio down." Clyde - ".............................................(noi se in background)..........................Am I on da ayre?" Slob - "Yes Clyde, go ahead with your question." Clyde - "Hi Bob! This is Clyde from Greenback. How'r ya doin nite?" Slob - "Good Clyde, go ahead with your question." Clyde - "My questyun is fer coach Dooley." Slob - "Coach Dooley is not here tonight, he's busy working with the team. We're joined tonight with Brent Hubbs." Clyde - "How ya doin coach?" Slob - "Coach Dooley isn't here, go ahead with your question." Clyde - "Coach, I jess wanna tell yuh that I sportcha hunnert percent and I know yer gonna win sum biggens whyle yer heer. I'll hang up'n lissen. Go big arentch!" |

Actually, stuff like that is about the only reason I listen to talk radio of any kind (sports or political, whatever). It's pretty funny listening to callers. |

Zippo, you can't possibly mean that. Talk radio is the ONLY reason to listen to the radio at all. You cannot possibly be a serious music fan and enjoy anything traversing our airwaves these days. I cannot vouch for sports talk radio though, as I am doomed to the broadcasts of the abysmal Gator Nation or whatever that show is. Mick Hubert is an abomination to the SEC with his awful Ohio accent. But that damned Limbaugh is ACE! I got so bored with him for years & found him to just be a mouthpiece for the GOP establishment, but since he's gotten this new hot wife who's half his age, he has been on fire. Sure he's a pompous windbag. So am I. I feel a great simpatico with him. Besides, if you like biographies like I do, you can find some REALLY juicy tidbits on him that just make the show that much better. You think Rush smoked oversized cigars & had Viagra on a solo trip to the Dominican Republic for innocuous reasons? Perhaps. But his choice of bedroom decor (from his bachelor days, no less!) is anything but.... LOL!!! OMG! Love you Rush!! ![]() |

Limbaugh has one redeeming value, he warms up his hot wife before calling me in for the serious stuff. Lord knows he is a master at leaving one flustered. |

You can listen to just about every Vol radio program live via the internet, and some (such as Ba Silly O) are archived ... I don't do it often, but I do from time to time. |
