I believe this was more than weed ... but even if it was only weed, Janzen hasn't been able to go 3 months in a row without trashing a dorm room, being involved in a robbery, stealing stuff, etc.

I really hope this is a wake up call for him and he eventually makes it in the NFL.

I'm not sure what all was involved, A lot I'm sure. If we kick someone off for smoking weed only we aren't even trying run for championships, we're trying to run for sportsmanship awards.
Given the current President, the AD & the BOT it would not surprise me one single solitary iota if that's exactly what we're running for.

I'm passing this on as a rumor - just that a rumor. Supposedly 16 team members failed the test and here is how I'm told it goes down. 1st failed test - the player is counseled, the 2nd failed test - the player's parent(s) is/are told, the 3rd failed test - the player is given his walking papers (supposed to be). In JJ's case he failed the test nine times. Now everybit of that is heresay, so take it for what it's worth.

Burning Man, 2009 FOREVER

Janzen is not the brightest bulb in the lamp, obviously. I dont really doubt the 9 failed tests to be honest. Basically everyone I've read that usually actually knows anything, like LWS for example, has basically been saying "man I cant believe this kid is still here" since halfway through his freshman year.

I just hate seeing him go for purely selfish reasons. Mainly because I just really enjoyed watching him play football. Whatever he is off the field, on the field he is talented and plays hard every second he's on the field. I feel the same way about him that I felt about Reggie Cobb when he got dismissed. Hopefully he'll end up more like Reggie than Tony Robinson.

He's now enrolled at McNeese State: http://www.mcneesesports.com/news/2011/8/26/FB_0826113839.aspx

I like the humble response toward Tennessee:

I would also like to apologize to my family, friends and the University of Tennessee for the mistakes I have made.

Sigh. He is truly messed up. The kid is bipolar or something. I really hope he can sort himself out or get help.
