Derek Dooley Discusses The First Practice

Dooley had some positive words about some of our defenders. That is a good sign.

I sure am glad Derek recorded that on video. Otherwise I'd be ashamed to admit I'd have been a little bit turned on by that article. I love good words for defense. Defense always gets me hot in the crotch on it's own. Add in phrases like "yeah, it's hot," "two are better than one" & the name like "Willie Bohanon" & a girl could use ice. Thank God for that hat. It's did a great job keeping more than him cool. I think I'll buy one for my husband. :D

Remember the reports from friends of Phil, who used to attend practice and report about it on around the campfire at chit chat?

"I was watching the wide receivers practice. They were real fast and could jump real high. We are real good at WR."

"I watched the running backs. That one guy can really run fast. Our running game should be good."

"I watched our defense today and ole Cal got pissed off and slapped Kimbo Slice up against the head and he straightened out and played good afterwards. Yep, he is a real good leader. Our defense will be real good because of that."

Those were the days. :loco:

Makes one wonder if they ever played the game at any level.

Nah. Those kind of comments never bothered me a wit. Of course I've never played though & have no trouble admitting that a lot of my football knowledge is just observations I've come to understand over time.

My problems were always those hushed rumors caused by the lack of discipline. Those little undercurrents of hostilities we would hear. The fans were always united as a team. We loved our team. Every year we "knew" this was it. But the team itself never really was a team. Ever. Dooley has done wonders in this area alone which gives me more hope than I've had in years.

Anyone that knows anything at all about football has to be impressed with CDD. The majority of those debbie downers are just attention whores.
