Anyone else believe that the culture of tackling (helmet to helmet hits) needs to change? Anyone else who would like to see the change also believe that the officials are overreacting a bit too much? Since DeSean Jackson was knocked out, the officials are calling everything that could be construed as a helmet to helmet hit are being called. The hit to Austin Collie of the Clots was a clean hit. Collie happened to lower his helmet and in the process it banged into the Eagles DBs helmet. The Eagles DB was leading with his shoulder on the play. In fact, both Eagles DBs led with their shoulders on that play. it was a bad call. I would like to see the foul called when a player leads with the crown of his helmet. As Chris Collinsworth said last night, they will not solve this until players are automatically ejected for leading with the crown of the helmet. Fining is an afterthought to these guys. Your thoughts? |
