The Bray Era Commences

Saturday's game with Tiger High signals the commencement of the Tyler Bray Era at UT.

He will not face a better defense to exploit with his skills than he will face Saturday. Tiger High's defense is porous, but you can bet that they will work hard to confuse Bray's reads. I would expect the Vols to run the ball a lot and get the offense back on track. I would not expect to have to throw the ball 35-40 times to win this game.

I do expect to see Matt Simms playing a few series as well.

What are you expecting?

Last week, we used the middle of the field to throw the ball, when Bray was playing. You rarely ever saw passes over the middle from Simms when he played, with the exception of a short safety valve pass to the tight end.

it will be interesting to see if we start challenging the safeties over the middle more often as we play out last few games.

Do you think the decision to use the middle comes from the velocity that Bray throws? I know Sims has a cannon too, but is there a speed diff?
