That is any better than the players in our Jr and Sr class. We were all thinking that we had a pretty solid freshmen and sophmore class but really it's only our freshman class. Teague isn't getting better Schoefield won't play hurt. Those were 2 guys we thought were going to be very good players. Dallas Thomas is maybe the best one I can think of and he got ate for lunch in the last game. Because of this, I think you have to give Dooley 4 instead of 3 years.

Next question is what's so great about Janzen Jackson? Played good against LSU, hasn't done near as good since his arrest last year. Was as good of a freshman safety in his first 6 games I've seen, but he's not that good right now IMO. Although, I agree, he's the best player from the 09' class with D. Thomas a close second.

Well, I'm just assuming that since you seemed to laud Dooley's recruiting class, you would respect his opinion about the talent level of the team's players. According to Dooley ....

Janzen is the best player on the team, and it's not close. Schofield is better than any jr or sr OL on the roster, Teague is probably better than any DB on the team other than Janzen (or will be), and Gordon is going to be pretty good once he grows up a little bit (and is probably better than any jr or sr DB on the roster already). Walls would have been, but he's hurt. Greg King is the best LB on the roster when healthy. So I think you are selling those guys WAY short of their ability, those are keepers and absent some type of disciplinary issue or lingering injury problems well worthe the paper their scholarships are written on. They are very solid.

The rest of the class was pretty much overrated in a big way, though. The 2010 class is much better.

Still, I guess the big point of this thread is that the number of quality Jrs and Srs is very low. We've got about 10 keepers from those two classes, and how many of those should really be starters if UT were high caliber?

The point I took was more along the lines of Kiffin's class being highly overrated, which it was. It may end up being as bad as the 2007 class when it's all said and done, because it gets worse by the day...

But you are right, the Jr and Sr classes suck, and the vast majority of the current freshmen should not be anywhere close to the field this season....and only are because we just dont have anyone else to throw out there.
