All good changes, except the FB situation is curious. Perhaps Dooley not only suspended Cooper but dropped him in the depth chart as well. Dooley is pretty serious about academics, huh?

That's a shame that Gordon couldn't manage the punt returning. I really liked his moves when he first took over that role.

A side note is that Brewer replaced Waggner when he moved to CB for the USC game. Art Evans comes in when the D goes nickel.

Burning Man, 2009 FOREVER

Fugate has more upside than Cooper. Cooper is good, but Fugate is going to be a really good FB. Someone stole some of Greg Amsler's DNA and cloned him when they made Fugate...

Also: C may be starting a freshman this week, too. Good god we are young...

I was really hoping Fugate wound up at linebacker....but it's amazing/scary how many true freshmen are playing right now......

I was really high on Brewer initially, he had a poor game against SC being out of position several times. Hopefully he will bounce back and play well for the remainder of the season.

I still like Brewer a lot. He's obviously got the physical maturity and will knock the crap out of people. It will be fun having him and JJ at safety for the next couple of years....
