I can't see Simms sticking around for next year. He's too vocal and too negative to be a team player, which the Vols need now. He's spoiled brat and when he is benched permanently, he will quit. What are your thoughts about the situation? What does Dooley do now? |

Simms has showed a lot of grit and leadership when the team needed it and the role suited him. Now that his role has chnaged, he is becoming a cancer. It is rumor and I accentuate, just a rumor, that his dad was escorted out of Williams Brice yesterday. |

I see him losing the starting position for the rest of the year and then quitting. It will be no big loss because we have Justin Worley coming in next year to be the number two. I hope he does quit because it opens up a scholarship for someone that may be able to play SEC football. Simms has a big league arm but no pocket awareness and other intangibles needed to play the position effectively. It was apparent after the second game that he was not the answer. |

I don't think he's going anywhere. Frankly, unless he's done more than what I've heard, I don't even mind that he's not happy about getting yanked yesterday. I'd be more worried about somebody who didn't mind it. Please don't start thinking that Bray is now going to play like Peyton the rest of his career. He's a green gourd and he's going to make lots of mistakes. We might find ourselves in a position where Simms has to play..... |

No. He has a much better arm than Slick Rick. Fulmer and Randy Sanders let Rick screw the whole team up for almost a year. I dont think Dooley will let that happen |

Jolly I guess I can't see Simms ego sitting on the bench for long periods, which could result in him causing dissension. Then Dooley may be forced to release him or he could just leave. I don't think Bray is the answer now, but he should be allowed a large number of snaps to get him ready for the future. He is also somewhat fragile and could go down anytime and that's where we need Simms. Next year we will have the QB from NC, but he'll only be a freshman. Two more years and we'll be in good shape. |

Actually Worley is from SC (Rock Hill). I have to say however, that after watching the game yesterday...Bray's not going to just step aside and let Worley have the job. I just wouldn't be so quick to say that Simms will become a detriment if he's not starting or that he'll just up and leave. I'm not even sure he has enough eligibility left to be able to sit out another year and then play??? |
