Dooley Meets The Media

The word on the street is that Derek Dooley met the media straight on and the media did not like how he handled them. He was straight and concise with his answers. He did not coddle them or babble to them like previous two coaches at UT. Dooley is going to be a son of a bitch to the media.

DD says that the Vols have some issues, injuries and personal matters that have to work their way out before he can move forward and address them short term.
Dooley concerned with short-term issues

Another is more uncertain, as tackle Aaron Douglas deals with "personal issues" and is expected to miss a few workouts as well.

I heard that Dooley blasted the red headed tuba player! Does anyone have more information on it.

I also read where he said why he speaks to the media and why he does not speak to the media. Dooley's style is to talk when something is going on. There's been nothing going on, so he wasn't talking. He will talk now and during spring practice but won't talk over the summer. "What am I going to talk about? Guys working out?"

Dooley wants to know who is showing up to practice. Asks that former players just call first and say they are coming. Pretty fired up about it. Doesn't understand why former players are so upset.

Miming someone calling and saying "I want to come to practice." "What's so hard about that?"

"People trying to create an issue that isn't there."

DD: "Nothing's changed." Brother in Atlanta doesn't just drive up to Knoxville and walk in DD's front door. He calls first. Wants football family to tell someone they are coming. Door is open, just say you're coming.

DD: "I'm not upset. I just get a kick of out it."

"I'm not one to take coaches on a canoo trip."

"15 hours in a room together is enough"

"Improve fundamentally at every position. Practice will be centered around that."

"You (the media) are going to have access to all information. If you don't then that's a choice by you not to promote the program" .... response to hooker

# "I'm here to represent the program, not sit up here and talk (to the media) all the time." -Dooley 24 minutes ago via TweetDeck

I hear that Jimmy Hyams vagina is smarting after the presser and that he whined, pissed, and moaned about Dooley his entire show.

Bwahahaha - Folks, that is a free class by Dooley entitled Bitchsmackin' The Media 101...

I loved the part when he asked Hooker what players are complaining and Hooker didn't answer.. This is a pipe dream creation that Hooker is trying to stir up...

I like Dooley even more after watch those 3 Q&A segments from the press conference.
