I hear that DD will speak with the media tomorrow and will let the media talk to the players sometime after Thursday's practice. How long before some "Einstein" reporter asks DD, "when are we going to get some commitments?". (Remember, we only had 1 this time last year). You can count on the Knoxville media to crap on the rug in public. What other kind of stupid remarks will the media make in your opinion? |

I very curious where some players wind up. I'm very curious who our starting five are on the o-line and who the next five will be...and i'm' curious how Bray looks when things go live...... |

Will any of our early enrollees make a move on the spring depth chart? I would not worry about that right now. Let them learn their techniques and get stronger. They will learn the tricks of the trade and the new plays. Then maybe sometime in the fall, some of them will make a move. I'm curious to see if our returning starter on the O-line will take part in practices? Who is going to play D-Line and LB? |

Bad omen for the media: Dooley cancels player availability during Vols pre-spring press conference. Wednesday should be interesting. |

If I were Dooley, I would draw first blood with the Knoxville media... Something like, "Hey Hooker, how does Kiffin's dick taste?" should work... |

Doolander kicked ass and took names at his presser today. He laid down the Doolander Rules of Engagement, which Jimmy Hyams is already complaining about on the air. The Knoxville media has had inner access for far too long and as Shakey pointed out, we saw the results of it during the Fulmer era. I like Doolander's attitude. He is out to be a good coach, not a sports page doofus/celebrity like his predecessor. If he can't get his men to get stronger, tougher, and more physical, then his tenure at Tennessee will not be long. I expect that they will push the guys to see just what each of them can do and will work on teaching them their system. This is where they finish buying into the system. We have the closet thing to Nick Saban as our coach and they saw their first "Nick Saban" press conference today. The media better find a way to work with Dooley, or else they will have little to write about. |

the problem facing Dooolittle - he ain't a big time coach, ready for the big time stage - and nope he couldn't carry Nick Saban's manscapin' clippings in a paper bag.. tootise for a guy who basically badmouthed Nick Saban, unimpressed with his work at Michigan State, etc. you've turned a corner.. As to the press having "little to write about" - guessing here - the "press" will have lots to write about this coming season.. Somehow you keep forgetting the ESPN has a hand in all this stuff - and Doolittle being a douchebag doesn't represent the brand very well now does it? |
