According to some posts on a few other boards, Derek Dooley has asked some former players hanging around to leave the current team's workouts. That being said and done, supposedly, an upset Chris Scott texted Eric Berry and Eric Berry is now reportedly upset at the situation.
Now we have fans pissing all over their legs over this. Perhaps they were used to Kiffie dog running open practices at UT. They are more worried about Eric Berry and Chris Scott, than they are about the current team. Why are fans/posters so concerned with some former players than they are with current players and their development? My guess is that Derek Dooley does not want recent former players close to action questioning the new staff and how and why they conduct their workouts and strategies. Welcome former players back for games and such, but practices are meant to be the place where the hard work to get better is done. |

I dont care if Dooley went to Eric's mom and started a small fire in her panties. This guy is mini Saban and I support him. |

They could be causing a distraction, get off Dooley's back and support your coach. |

I have this image of the former players laughing and joking with the current players and taking their mind off of their business. Good move by Tom Dooley, shows me he is all business. |

Wow - never heard of that - "recent" former players asked to exit the arena.. Never. Its spring ball - aka the dog and pony lets not get anyone hurt show.. Spring ball is time for the "unknown" to make his splash - and move up the depth chart.. "recent former players" know the program - and aren't gonna get in the way of any new coaches way, or style. As specifically to E. Berry - he has experienced the changes in coaching staff/styles - and probably could care less what Dooley and the DoRights do this spring - what he more than likely cares about are his former teammates - and if anything - their success in a new system.. |
