I think in the last...oh...20 years or so, we have had like one guy from TX that turned out to be worth a shit and actually played (Jason Parker), and a gazillion who have washed out, got homesick, got in trouble and thrown off the team, or otherwise turned out to be wastes of oxygen (Greg Barnum, Sterling Kazee, Mike Grein, Brandon Ashley, on and on to infinity). Next year, we will have Denarius Moore and most likely Nick Stephens starting. That's two players from Texas not only having some degree of success at UT...but doing it at the same time! That's just unheard of. I mean end of the world, hell freezing over, planets-aligning-just-so kinda goofiness that you only see once or twice in a lifetime. If Eddrick Lofton actually turns out to be a player, its almost like the cosmos will have to shoot him with a bolt of lightning to keep time itself from stopping. If he plays, we really need REV to pray for us all..because Hawk's 2012 is coming sooner than we think. |
