The NFL combine - a glorified

job fair.. Pretty much explains why so many of the top guys blow this off..

The combine is a job interview and the beginning of a business process for young men coming out of college into a highly competitive field. It's really nothing more than an NFL job fair, and the people that have the most to prove have the most to gain by impressing in the "interview".

If you graduated from a top tier programs you don't go troll through a job fair. The executives come to you, or they bring you to them for an exclusive interview. Top talent is always treated differently. It's no different at FedEx, top law firms, or software companies. If you are the top guy, and a lot of people want you, it is expected that you exercise your leverage.
