searches.. School "A" needs a coach so they start putting hitting every button available to them. Any coach who is really interested is school "A" - makes the contact through his representative and oftentimes school A cold calls to spark interest. If there is some mutual interest the agent gets info on what the offer would be and any conditions associated with said offer. Keep in mind that the client still has not spoken to a soul, other than his representative. In some cases, the agent will simply be in talks so that he can leverage his client's current employer to give his client more money. The fellow from school A has to make quick decisions - and sometimes there are huge mistakes made.. Now the coach, if asked can truthfully say "he wasn't contacted" and never talked to anyone about the job, other than discussions with his representative - there is no need for the press to be further ingaged - so the press moves on to the next rumor. And why you don't hear or see press releases from AD.. It saves, potentially, embarassemnt to both parties.. |
